Results

The UT System Office of Procurement Services strives to provide value-added services to the University.  Below, we’ve included some noteworthy achievements.

• For the period November 1 – December 31, 2017, the University’s 4 procurement offices saved a total of $52,000 by negotiating during the bid process.  Further, the UT System Office of Procurement Services negotiated significant cost-avoidance savings (calculating firm cost-avoidance numbers is difficult, but the estimated savings exceed $100,000).
• In 2017, Procurement Services collaborated with the Office of Finance to save $500,000.00 over a 5-year period on a finance transaction processing service.
• In 2015-2017, Procurement Services collaborated with UTK Student Health to streamline their procurement process and reduce the number of suppliers.  Read more here.
